300 ml Hard-Water Shampoo OEM: Launch Alone or Add a Salon Mask?
Compare a standalone 300 ml hard-water shampoo launch with a shampoo-and-mask pair. Keep each SKU’s MOQ, sample approval and cash commitment visible.

A 300 ml hard-water shampoo can be evaluated and quoted as a standalone retail SKU. Add a salon mask only when its separate use case, formula, quantity and packaging fit the channel. A paired routine can improve the offer, but it does not automatically share one minimum or one approval.

Start with the offer the customer can understand
A buyer should be able to explain why the shampoo exists before presenting a two-step range. Define the cleansing brief, target hair and intended routine. A mask adds conditioning; it does not turn an unsupported shampoo claim into a proven one.
Malibu C’s official Hard Water Wellness Shampoo page illustrates an established mineral-focused cleansing category and names a conditioner in its directions. That is the brand’s own formula and routine. It does not establish the performance, frequency or need for a mask in a JunChun project.
Compare two quotations without hiding the second minimum
Ask for offer A: one 300 ml shampoo SKU. Ask for offer B: the same shampoo plus a separately specified mask. Keep formula version, bottle specification and shampoo quantity identical so the comparison shows what the second product changes.
For each offer, list finished units, component purchases, label or carton runs, documents and shipping assumptions. A 100-piece shampoo route does not mean a dedicated 500 ml professional mask is available in 100 pieces. A larger component minimum can consume cash before the first bundle is sold.
Separate formula approval from routine approval
Review shampoo cleansing and after-feel on the intended hair under a fixed wash method. Then evaluate the proposed mask as an additional step. If the shampoo result is assessed only after a rich mask, you may not understand what each formula contributes.
Record dose, water source, hair history, rinse process and drying conditions. Keep the sample identity in the quotation. Mineral-removal or colored-hair claims need evidence suited to the exact product; a pleasant complete routine is not a measurement of chelating performance.
Plan inventory around how the products will be sold
For individual retail sales, reorder rates can differ. For a fixed kit, the slower component can hold up the next kit run. Agree whether components may also be sold separately, which outer pack is required and how batch identification appears on the assembled offer.
If the launch is shampoo-led, make the mask an optional recommendation rather than an automatic purchase. If salons need a professional routine, review the existing two-step system instead. The product page and quotation should describe the same route.
Ask for a scope the factory can price
For eligible mature formulas paired with available stock packaging, a trial may start from 100 pieces per SKU. Packaging changes are reviewed from 500 pieces per SKU; actual component and decoration minimums must be confirmed. A dedicated professional-size product may require a higher minimum. Formula development, testing, documents, artwork, cartons and freight are scoped separately.
Send your country, channel, standalone or kit preference, shampoo quantity and any desired mask size. JunChun can compare the two routes without assuming that the lowest visible MOQ applies to every component.
Buyer FAQ
Can I start with only the shampoo?
Yes. A standalone shampoo brief can be reviewed independently from a mask or professional treatment.
Will both products have the same MOQ?
Not necessarily. Formula, size, compatible stock components and professional-use requirements can create different minimums.
Does a conditioner recommendation prove our formula needs a mask?
No. Another brand’s directions apply to its own product. Select the companion after evaluating the actual JunChun sample and customer routine.
Which quotation is easier to compare?
Use the same shampoo formula, quantity and packaging in both offers, then itemize every cost and minimum added by the mask.
