Concentrated Shampoo OEM: Compare Cost per Wash, Not Cost per Tube
Compare concentrated shampoo proposals using delivered pack cost, usable fill, measured dose, dispensing losses and an explicit number of washes.

Compare concentrated shampoo by cost per usable wash under defined conditions. Pack price and nominal concentration alone cannot show value: the actual dose, remaining product and consumer use behavior determine how far a pack lasts.
Use the retail signal carefully
Everist currently markets a shampoo concentrate in a 100 ml presentation with brand-specific concentration and usage directions. This verifies an available format, not category-wide growth or an equivalent performance claim for another formula. For an OEM project, request your own sample, fill specification and use instructions rather than copying the reference brand’s multiplication factor.
Make the calculation auditable
Use mass consistently: estimated washes = usable product mass divided by measured mass per wash. Cost per wash = delivered pack cost divided by estimated washes. As an illustrative calculation, a pack with 90 g usable product and a 1.5 g measured dose yields 60 washes. At a hypothetical delivered cost of US$3, that is US$0.05 per wash. If the dose doubles, the estimate becomes 30 washes and US$0.10. These are invented teaching inputs, not a quotation or a product performance result.
Measure dose rather than judging a strip by eye
Weigh the pack before and after dispensing using equipment suitable for the dose. Repeat with the intended closure and record the spread of outputs. In supervised buyer screening, compare similar hair length, density, wetting and rinse conditions using approved directions. Keep heavy styling buildup as a separate use condition. Record double washing instead of counting it as one nominal dose. Do not ask consumers to dilute and store a concentrate unless that preparation is explicitly validated.
Include the product left inside the pack
Compare opening effort with wet hands, controlled dispensing, cap contamination and recovery near the end of the pack. Determine whether a tube key or other accessory is necessary and include it in the cost. Check formula and pack compatibility under an agreed storage and transport plan. A smaller pack does not by itself prove a lower environmental impact; such claims need a defined comparison and evidence.
Request two commercial scenarios
Ask for a qualified existing formula with a compatible stock pack, and a separate custom development proposal where needed. Compare total order value and documentation alongside unit cost. Record which tests and costs remain provisional. Agree a pilot decision based on usable washes and user acceptance before choosing the final claim and pack size.
Buyer FAQ
Is three-times concentrated always three times more washes?
No. Actual use, effective dose and pack losses must support the specific comparison.
Can I compare millilitres with grams directly?
No. Use measured density if conversion is needed, or keep the calculation entirely in mass.
What should go into a quote request?
Target wash cost, hair type, dose target, pack, market, quantity and intended concentration claim.
