Hair Fragrance Mist OEM: A Stock-Pack Pilot or a 500-Piece Packaging Upgrade?
Compare an eligible 100-piece stock-pack hair fragrance launch with a 500-piece packaging-change brief. Plan scent samples, bottle choice and quote scope.

JunChun Beauty Editorial Team · 13 October 2026
Choose a stock-pack pilot when your first goal is to sell one clear hair-fragrance concept with limited inventory. JunChun can review selected mature formulas and compatible stock bottles from 100 pieces per SKU. Choose a packaging-change brief when presentation is central to the launch; the starting review is 500 pieces, with higher component or decoration minimums possible.
Why a salon fragrance mist is a specific opportunity
Cécred's official site offers a 50 ml hair perfume, checked on 13 October 2026. This is a current fragrance-first hair product, not proof of its sales or the launch date. See the brand format reference.
For a small salon brand, our proposed opportunity is a recognisable final scent step after styling. It gives a customer a reason to buy beyond shampoo replenishment. The mist should have a clear identity: hair fragrance, rather than an unsupported list of treatment benefits.
Start with one scent customer and one use occasion
Define whether the product is a salon finishing scent, an in-between-wash refresh or a giftable retail item. A buyer choosing a discreet clean scent has a different brief from a fragrance-store buyer seeking a more pronounced amber or oud direction.
Request scent samples in the intended finished base. A neat perfume-oil sample cannot establish how the final mist smells on hair or how it dries. Choose the scent by the actual customer's routine rather than a generic list of trend notes.
Route one: an eligible 100-piece stock-pack pilot
Use this route when a mature formula and compatible bottle are available. Keep one formula, one fragrance selection within the approved scope and one label design. Ask JunChun to confirm the pack's fill size, sprayer, cap and decoration method.
The small-site alcohol-free hair-fragrance concept is a relevant starting point. Review its product role. Availability of a particular mature scent or pack still needs confirmation; the page is not a live stock reservation.
A pilot can be sold alongside existing salon aftercare without creating a new multi-product range. Keep the label directions easy to follow and explain where the mist should be applied.
Route two: packaging changes reviewed from 500 pieces
Use this route when the brand needs a different compatible bottle, closure or presentation. The 500-piece starting point does not mean a new mold, every printed finish or any selected component is available at that quantity.
Provide a packaging reference and distinguish a color or decoration change from an entirely new container. Quote the component, label, optional carton and approval work separately. A high-looking retail concept can become expensive if the order is small and the outer pack is elaborate.
Select capacity by sale and use, not by a competitor's pack
Request available stock capacities first. A smaller pack can create a lower retail entry point, while a larger pack may fit regular users. Compare the delivered cost, not fill volume alone. If a desired mini size is unavailable, review it as a separate packaging project.
The fine-mist sprayer should support the intended dose and coverage. Evaluate scent intensity and dry feel at that dose. Alcohol-free does not automatically establish that a product is suitable for every sensitive user or every transport route.
Make the quote easy to compare
Ask for a quotation against the exact formula route, approved scent, fill size, bottle and quantity. List label, carton, sampling and destination-market documentation separately where applicable. Freight depends on the final composition, pack and shipping details.
Our recommendation is to choose the smallest clear launch scope that still represents the brand well. Upgrade packaging after the product has a defined audience and useful sales evidence, rather than using decoration to rescue an unclear product story.
Frequently asked questions
Does 100 pieces allow a unique fragrance to be created?
It is not a blanket bespoke-fragrance offer. Selected mature formula and scent options may qualify; dedicated fragrance development has a separate scope.
Does 500 pieces mean any bottle can be customized?
No. Packaging changes are reviewed from that quantity, but mold, printing and component suppliers may require higher minimums.
Can an alcohol-free hair mist be called hypoallergenic?
Not simply because it is alcohol-free. Suitability and claims depend on the whole formula and appropriate evidence.
Can the same mist be marketed for hair and body?
Only after formula, directions and target-market assessment support both uses. Do not add a body-use claim just to broaden the market.
