Post-Color Mask for Fine or Coarse Hair: Choose the Conditioning Level
Choose a post-color mask brief for fine or coarse hair. Compare conditioning level, dose and rinse feel, while separating retail packs from salon stock.

Choose a post-color mask’s conditioning level from the target hair, actual tangling complaint and desired dry finish. A lighter-feel sample may suit customers who dislike coating; a richer sample may suit those who want more substantial conditioning. Fine or coarse hair alone does not determine the formula, dose or contact time.
Describe the problem in the customer’s words
A useful salon brief can be specific: “The lengths are difficult to comb after coloring, but the customer dislikes a waxy finish.” Another might prioritize a substantial, cushioned conditioning feel. Those briefs can lead to different samples even when both products are called post-color masks.
Record the service, usual home routine and application amount. Separate a need for conditioning from a desire to deposit a corrective shade. A care mask and a pigment-depositing mask serve different jobs.
Compare lighter and richer directions
A lighter conditioning experience
Ask for manageable wet combing with the dry movement your customer prefers. Begin with the intended dose on the relevant lengths. If the finished result still feels coated, compare a lighter sample rather than adding several leave-ins to compensate.
A more substantial mask
For customers who prefer a richer application, compare pickup from the jar, spread and rinse feel. Richness should serve their routine. A visibly dense cream does not prove stronger repair, better color retention or suitability after every chemical service.
When the routine matters more than another SKU
If a revised application amount or clearer directions solve the complaint, improve the existing product first. A second formula earns its place when its sensory role is genuinely different, not when the same product receives another fragrance name.
Acidic care needs a real formula specification
Redken’s established Acidic Color Gloss range is a commercial example of acidic color-care positioning. Official range, checked 15 October 2026. Its performance and pH claims do not establish the specification of a JunChun mask.
For your project, request the selected formula’s INCI, finished-pH specification and approved rinse-off directions. Agree on the intended cosmetic benefits and the evidence available. Do not select a contact time solely because a competitor uses it.
Keep retail and salon packs distinct
The existing small-site product is a 500 ml professional mask. The supplied JUXSKENB image presents a 300 ml jar direction. A retail option can be added to the same product offer when the formula and purpose match, with the original 500 ml specification retained.
The existing professional route has its own 500-unit minimum. A proposed retail version needs a separate quote; it does not automatically inherit a 100-piece minimum. Selected mature formulas with compatible stock packs may qualify from 100 pieces, while packaging changes are reviewed from 500 pieces and can require more.
A focused request to JunChun
Send the target market, service, hair profile, current complaint and preferred retail or salon size. JunChun can review a suitable formula sample, pack options and the production scope together. Compare the sample against your present routine, then approve the formula and package before final artwork.
Frequently asked questions
Does fine hair always need a lighter mask?
No. The condition of the lengths, customer preference, dose and routine also matter.
Is the pictured 300 ml jar the existing 500 ml product?
No. It is a separate retail packaging presentation. The existing professional product retains its 500 ml specification.
Is an acidic mask necessarily a toning mask?
No. Deliberate color deposition is a separate formula choice. Confirm the intended role.
Can I order the 500 ml professional mask at 100 units?
The current listed professional route is 500 units. A different retail or stock-pack project must be quoted separately.
