Scented Hair Serum OEM: Compare Dry-Hair Feel Before Choosing the Fragrance

Build a scented hair-serum OEM brief around dry-hair feel, controlled pump output and fragrance balance. Compare samples before committing to a stock-pack trial.

Choose the finishing performance first and the fragrance second. Compare candidate serums at the same measured dose on representative dry hair, then review scent strength and compatibility with the wash routine. A pleasant bottle aroma cannot compensate for sticky ends, excessive pump output or an unclear product role.

A current retail signal, not a sales promise

Cosme Kitchen’s ANILLO Black Tea Nourishing Hair Essence page lists a 50 ml size and 16 October 2026 store release dates for Cosme Kitchen and Biople. This verifies a channel and format signal. It does not prove a global first launch, strong sell-through or demand in your own country.
The practical opportunity is to define a finishing product clearly enough that a stylist can demonstrate it. It is not permission to copy a competitor’s formula, fragrance, botanical story or bottle. Keep the brief separate from any inference about commercial success.

Describe the problem without stacking benefits

Start with one application task: finishing dry lengths after styling, adding slip to dry ends, or providing a light shine appearance. These are different sample questions from scalp hydration or refreshing a hairstyle with a water-based mist. Avoid calling every scented format a hair perfume, oil and treatment at once.
Ask the buyer which complaint would make the product fail. Fine-haired clients may reject a coated look, while a customer with dry lengths may reject a finish that seems to disappear too quickly. These are possible needs to investigate, not universal preferences.

Run a controlled sample comparison

  1. Select representative hair swatches or an appropriately managed evaluation with approved samples. Keep prior washing, drying and styling conditions consistent.
  1. Use the same measured quantity for each sample. Record mass and application area; two pumps from different packs may deliver different amounts.
  1. Evaluate spread, drag, tack, visible clumping and touch transfer at agreed observation points. Keep lighting and photographs consistent. This is a proposed buying screen, not a clinical study or established validation standard.
  1. Review fragrance separately: from the pack, during application and after the hair has settled. Avoid comparing many strong scents in immediate succession.
  1. Try the shortlisted product with the buyer’s intended shampoo and conditioner routine. Document objections and repeat rather than changing formula, fragrance and dose simultaneously.

Treat the pump as part of the formula decision

A small bottle does not guarantee a small dose

A 50 ml pump is a retail discussion point, but its stroke output needs verification with the actual formula. Check whether partial presses are controllable and product accumulates around the actuator. An unsuitable pump can cause avoidable complaints regardless of bottle capacity.

Confirm what is genuinely a stock route

A mature serum and an eligible stock bottle may support a small first order. A new pump, coating, printed bottle or fragrance adjustment can change the route. Request a version-specific quote and sample. Do not approve a pack from a rendering or assume all glass and pump combinations are interchangeable.

Upgrade an existing product when its role is unchanged

If the selected sample is already in your range, improve its original page’s dose guidance, use occasion and sensory explanation. A fragrance variation does not automatically deserve another near-identical product link. That can confuse buyers comparing real differences.
JunChun can review finishing-serum options, samples and packaging before the first order. Botanical inclusion, heat protection or quantified shine statements need relevant evidence for the actual finished product. Fragrance and ingredient names do not establish those results.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the scent before the serum base?

First shortlist bases that meet the application and after-feel requirement. Then confirm the fragrance in the selected base, not only on a scent strip.

Is 50 ml the required size?

No. It is a retail reference and possible discussion size. Final capacity, output and stock availability need confirmation.

Does a scented serum automatically protect against heat?

No. Heat-protection claims require evidence for the finished product and claimed conditions.

Should every fragrance have a separate product page?

Not necessarily. Use existing options or a series page when purpose and performance are substantially the same.

Discuss a sample-and-pack route

Send the target routine, one unacceptable after-feel and preferred scent intensity. JunChun can review an existing sample and actual pack before any packaging commitment. Selected mature formulas with compatible stock packaging may start at 100 pcs/SKU. Packaging changes are reviewed from 500 pcs, subject to actual component and process minimums. Development, testing, documents and freight require project-specific review.
